RECTIFICATION of CENTERLINES at STREET INTERSECTIONS
The centerlining of streets by automated means is sometimes criticized for its curved intersections. Without forming an opinion on that kind of view, we included in our solution an option to square or straighten simple centerline junctions. Three such junctions are shown below in their original (red) and in their rectified (black) conditions. Particularly complex intersections, such as the one in the lower figure, cannot be resolved with our current approach. We look forward to come up soon with a more comprehensive solution.
